A Gurugram QSR added two kiosks and stopped losing the peak-hour queue
QSR · Sector 29, Gurugram
- +18%average order value
- 2xpeak-hour throughput
- 11 weekspayback on the kiosks
The situation
A 60-cover QSR with a single counter. Between 8 and 10 pm the queue reached the door and customers visibly walked away.
What was blocking them
Adding a second counter meant losing four covers of seating and hiring two more people. The maths did not work.
What we installed
Two 32-inch floor-standing self-order kiosks with dynamic UPI QR payment and token printing, a kitchen display system, and a token and queue display above the collection point.
What changed
Orders now arrive in parallel with the counter instead of behind it. The kiosk offers the combo upgrade every time, which the staff did about a third of the time. Average order value rose 18% and peak throughput roughly doubled.
The owner's view
"I was worried customers would not use it. Within two weeks the kiosk queue was longer than the counter queue."
