A Rohini pharmacy turned expiry loss into supplier returns

The situation

A busy chemist near a hospital gate, around 9,000 SKUs, batch and expiry tracked on the strip and in memory.

What was blocking them

Expiry loss was treated as a cost of doing business. Nobody knew the number until the annual stock-take, by which point returns windows had closed.

What we installed

The Pharmacy Bundle — terminal, 80mm printer, 2D scanner and a 4-inch label printer — with batch and expiry-aware billing and salt-substitute search. Data was migrated from their previous system free of charge.

What changed

Alerts now fire at 90, 60 and 30 days. The system prints a supplier-wise return list, so stock goes back while it is still returnable instead of into a bin. Salt search also converts substitutions that were previously lost sales.
